Compensation is contingent on the achievement of key results or project milestones. These milestones will be clearly defined at the beginning of the engagement. Up to $2,500 at completion of the project.
Conexión Américas seeks to contract a photographer to participate in the Recetas para la Vida (Recipes for Life) exhibition and project. The Recetas para la Vida project will use photography and storytelling to explore the identities, histories, families, and stories of love of Nashville’s diverse Latino community through the art of cooking. By telling stories, through cooking and sharing life lessons learned in the kitchen, the exhibition will invite you to explore the diversity of Nashville’s Latinx community.
As part of the project, the contracted photographer will take photos/portraits of 20 community participants cooking a recipe in their kitchen. These photos will be displayed as part of the ‘Rectas para la Vida’ exhibition, and the selected photographer will be one of the featured artists of the exhibition which will be displayed in the Casa Azafrán Art Gallery between March 2025 - June 2025.
