Meet the stars of our program this year, Karen Martinez and Arturo Prieto, high school seniors from immigrant families who will be the first to go to college and will be featured at our Cafecito April 24th. Arturo and Karen are in a group of 30 seniors at Glencliff High School from immigrant families working toward their dreams of college and careers through Conexión Américas’ Escalera program. For the short documentary film that will debut at our Cafecito, Arturo, Karen and their families open up about why they chose the difficult path of immigrating to the United States, how their lives have changed and their dreams for the future. Prepare to laugh, cry and be inspired!
We hope to see you at the Cafecito: A Cup of Coffee for Conexión Américas!
