Volunteer to teach English in 2025
Are you passionate about teaching and making a difference in your community? Conexión Américas is excited to announce a 2025 volunteer opportunity for those interested in teaching English. This spring, you can become a cultural ambassador and friend to adult English learners, guiding them through a 12-week online course designed to enhance their language skills and enrich their lives.
What You’ll Do:
- Teach 1.5-hour lessons once a week from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
- The course runs from February 4th to May 5th.
- Classes are conducted online via Zoom.
- A comprehensive curriculum and syllabus will be provided.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering as an English teacher offers you the chance to make a lasting impact on students’ lives by helping them improve their language skills, which can open up new opportunities for them. No teaching certification is required, though prior experience is helpful. This is your chance to serve as a cultural ambassador and help integrate new community members into the society.

Are you or someone you know looking to improve English skills? Our English Language Learner (ELL) classes are designed for non-native English speakers and cover speaking, reading, writing, and listening. With six levels available—from Beginner 1 to Advanced 2—you can find the perfect fit for your needs.
Taught by dedicated volunteer teachers, classes are held online via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, offering a convenient and accessible way to learn.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer! Conexión Américas is looking for volunteer instructors to teach adult English learners.
The Adult Education Program at Conexión Américas has been supporting the language learning needs of the immigrant community in the Nashville area for nearly 2 decades.
This affordable program is a key resource for immigrants as they seek to successfully integrate into the local community.
What You’ll Do:
