If you’ve ever the StoryCorps recordings on NPR then you know how powerfully inspiring and emotional they can be. How many times have you listened and had to laugh or wipe tears?
Well, come join our party. For the first time, StoryCorps@yourlibrary and Conexión Américas will host a listening party with stories from the participants of “Nashville’s New Faces.”
Come enjoy this celebration of stories, culture and memory.
And, come listen to pieces of the stories shared by our co-founders Renata Soto and José Gonzalez.
Guests will have an opportunity to meet the people who shared their memories, joys, fears and love at places throughout Nashville including the Conexión Américas @ Casa Azafrán, Brentwood Library, Edmondson Pike Library, Belmont University, Lipscomb University, CRIT (the Center for Refugees and Immigrants of Tennessee), the downtown public library and Casa de la Cultura Latino Americana de Nashville.
It’ll be a feel-good time with music, stories, food and…tissue. Guests will also have an opportunity to sign up for future StoryCorps recordings.
