About Conexión Américas

Our mission is to build a welcoming community and create opportunities where Latino families can belong, contribute and succeed. Every year, we assist more than 9,000 individuals and their families in their desire to start businesses, improve their English, help their children succeed in school and go to college, and become an integral part of Nashville’s social, cultural and economic vitality.  Conexión Américas is the lead partner of Casa Azafrán, a nonprofit collaborative at the gateway to Nashville’s International District that is home to Conexión Américas and nine partners.

Our Programs

Casa Azafrán in Media

Through our programs Escalera, GEARUP and The College Success Program, we support students as they navigate college and their post-secondary education goals. 

Our tax programs are two-fold via education and preparation and are designed to provide clear, reliable and linguistically accessible information on taxes to Spanish-speaking workers in Middle Tennessee.

 During this 6-9 week series, Conexión Américas and a team of Latino parent volunteers deliver workshops promote an effective partnership between Latino parents and MNPS schools.

Through our Spanish Help Line, or by visiting our office for a face-to-face appointment, Latino families and individuals can connect with us to learn more about Conexión Américas’ programs, address immediate or mid-term challenges, find a bilingual professional, or receive a referral to another local agency.

With our program, Escalera be part of a community of first-gen students that spans across 6 universities in the state.

Conexión Américas shares up-to-date information, news and tips throughout the community via weekly radio programs that reach thousands of Middle Tennessee residents

Conexión Américas can make referrals to legal services organizations or immigration attorneys as needed.

Our ongoing Digital Literacy program is designed to equip adult learners with the functional skills to actively participate in as virtual aspects of day-to-day life, such as sending emails, managing finances, taking online classes, and more.

Our nationally recognized, award-winning program, Puertas Abiertas, which translates to “Open Doors,” assists Latino families in achieving the dream of homeownership by offering financial education, counseling, and access to financing.

Our technical assistance programs cover a variety of topics, including assistance with best business practices, business incubation, legal assistance, taxes, licensing, insurance, marketing and more!

In our Personal Finance program we provide expert advice on managing your finances and achieving your financial goals.

English language (ELL) classes are offered to non-native English speakers. The curriculum covers a broad spectrum of topics, and aims to improve English speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills.
