Conexión Américas named Finalist
Conexión Américas was honored yesterday during the annual Center for Nonprofit Management Salute to Excellence awards held at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville.
Conexión Américas was one of three finalists for the Frist Foundation Awards of Achievement in the Team Building Category for the work done to create our nonprofit collaborative center, Casa Azafrán. The Frist Foundation awarded Conexión Américas a gift of $7,500. (The full list of winners and finalists are at the CNM site.)
“It is an incredible honor to be nominated and be recognized, not just just the 5-year process it took to create Casa Azafrán, but for the wonderful things that have happened — and will continue to happen — because 10 nonprofits came together to serve immigrants, refugees and the Nashville community as a whole, ” said Renata Soto, executive director of Conexión Américas.
