Center for Nonprofit Management Salute to Excellence Awards. Conexión Américas was a finalist for the Frist Foundation Awards of Achievement in the Team Building Category for the work done to create our nonprofit collaborative center, Casa Azafrán.
2012
Outstanding Service-Learning Collaboration in Higher Education Award, for a collaboration with Belmont University, presented by the Gulf-South Summit on Service-Learning and Civic Engagement through Higher Education. The collaboration brings Advanced Spanish students from Belmont to Conexión Américas, where they can use their language skills to assist the Latino community.
2010
The Peggy Stein Memorial Award for Human Rights Collaboration, presented by CommunityNashville to Nashville for All of Us, of which Conexión Américas is a founding member. This award recognized the coalition’s successful campaign that resulted in the historic defeat of the English Only referendum presented to Nashville voters in 2009.

2007
Nashville Neighborhood Builder Award presented by Bank of America in recognition of an organization that helps enrich and improve communities.
Family Strengthening Award presented by the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the National Council of La Raza (NCLR). The award recognizes “outstanding programs that work to give children what they need most-strong, capable and economically successful families.” This award recognized our ENLACES Information, Referrals and Support Services Program for demonstrating measurable results and commitment to the principles of family strengthening.
Best Innovative Partnership Award by NeighborWorks America for our partnership with The Housing Fund for our Puertas Abiertas/Open Doors homeownership program. By helping Hispanic families access the most traditional route to building wealth in this country, our homeownership program represents one of the most successful strategies to empower low- and moderate-income Hispanic families socially and economically.
